Naga, Cebu Landslide Tragedy: This Man Saw It Coming

At least twelve people were killed while at 60-7- people were declared missing after monsoon rains caused a huge landslide that wiped out dozens of houses in Sitio Sandulo, Barangay Tinaan, Naga City, Cebu.

One of the wounded victims, Jay Lapitan of Sitio tagaytay, Brgy. Tinaan, Naga knew something terribly wrong was going to happen and he kept warning people as early as last week:
On September 15, 2018 - Mr. Lapitan posted a video of the cracks as seen on the ground on his Facebook account. 

A few days later on September 17, Mr. Lapitan posted another video on Facebook showing the cracks seen near his house.



After two days, Mr. Lapitan is now frantically asking for leads for immediate evacuation sensing imminent disaster waiting to happen. (see screen capture below)




September 20, 6AM - Mr. Lapitan was among the dozens who were caught by the landslide (see screencap). As per reports, he was injured by the landslide now is in a Cebu City hospital undergoing treatment. His family was able to evacuate yesterday.
